 Mauve roses of quality are difficult to find. Unfortunately, many lavender roses are fragile beauties, requiring quite a bit of care in order to  prosper.
Nonetheless, they are worth the effort and are graceful and lovely
additions to any garden.Lavender is a color which can be used well with many of the other colors in the spectrum. Yellow, orange, white, pink, and red all blend well with lavender. Combine with white, red, or yellow, and lavender is the star; combine with orange or pink, and lavender is the supporting player. Strong purple advances strongly and makes a wonderful combination with yellow, as evidenced by the classic iris. Soft purple, or lavender, is a more retiring color, soothing in the garden.
