Parentage:  'Sunsprite' x seedling

Of note:  Disease resistant; very floriferous
Easy to grow; cold tolerant; color holds well.

Sun Flare embodies the best qualities of Floribunda roses: continuous flowering sprays of medium size flowers on bushy plants clothed in shiny, disease resistant foliage. (Tip:   roses which have shiny foliage usually are more disease resistant because the diseases do not seem to be able to penetrate the leaves' pores as well).

If you are seeking a yellow rose which bears loads of yellow flowers repeatedly over a long season, than Sun Flare should be on the short list.  There are other yellow roses on the market for sure; if you are seeking quality of individual bloom, St. Patrick might be a better choice, but Sun Flare is hard to match for providing problem-free masses of bloom.  Traditionally, most yellow roses offered to gardeners have had a weakness for blackspot or cold temperatures, but Sun Flare seems to rise effortlessly above the usual afflictions.

There is a climbing variety, usually commercially offered as 'Yellow Blaze.'
