  1996, McGredy, New ZealandMt. Hood
Class:  Grandiflora
Zones:  5-10
Parentage:  'Sexy Rexy' x 'Pot O' Gold'
Flowers:  Ivory, 40-45 petals

Size:  5-6 feet
Fragrance:  Light

Of note:  Disease resistant, strong growing plant which yields masses of ivory flowers on a regular basis.

'Mt. Hood' produces masses of ivory flowers throughout the growing season.  As you might expect from a Grandiflora, 'Mt. Hood' is a tall bush, capable of reaching six feet.  Growth is attractive due to the full-branching nature of the canes and the good disease resistance of the foliage.  Blooms will open better in warm climates.

Unfortunately, as with many of the modern white roses, fragrance is light; however, here are three white roses which I can recommend for fragrance:    'White Lightnin', a Grandiflora;   'Madame Hardy,' a damask, and 'Glamis Castle,' a David Austin English rose.
