Of note:  Excellent for the cottage garden or perennial border.

'Lady of the Dawn' is one of those roses where the overall presence in the garden is much more effective than any of the individual blooms considered alone.  With ruffled, semi-double blossoms that combine informality with elegance, it's as if someone sat down to design a rose which would fit into an idealized vision of a cottage garden.   'Lady of the Dawn' is excellent in the perennial border, standing out without overwhelming.

Fragrance is slight, and growth is to four feet or so on an upright bush.   Arching canes are clothed in leathery, disease resistant foliage.  Blackspot may show up on occasion, but spraying is normally not required in order for the plant to maintain good health.
