Portland roses as a class are of a bygone era, and most interest is from a historical perspective Colors tend to be in the pink ranges, including dark, almost scarlet blooms. Habit of growth is upright, lacking some of the grace of the arching shrubs. However, Portland roses stay relatively small (3-4 feet) are suited for gardens where space is at a premium (although in every garden I have ever had, no matter what size, space was and is always at a premium!!). |
