Of note:  One of the great red roses of all time:  Classic form, color which smolders, and intense fragrance.

The parent of many modern red roses, 'Chrysler Imperial' is still offered in many nurseries almost half a century after its introduction.  Double, high-centered flowers are intensely fragrant.  Long stems and good substance make 'Chrysler Imperial' an ideal cut flower.  Growth is bushy and vigorous, and performance is best in areas with warm summers.

Like many Hybrid Teas, 'Chrysler Imperial' will be most attractive when planted in a rose bed or at least in groups of three or more.  Due to their erect, stiff growth habit, Hybrid Teas are somewhat formal by their very nature.  One way to use Hybrid Teas effectively is to play off their distinctive growth habit by planting them in groups.  Repeating strong features is an excellent way to diminish the impact of an individual element; further, repetition is also one of the keys to tying any composition together.
