'China Doll' bears small, medium pink blooms first appear late in the season, but once they start, they don't stop until nipped hard by frost.  The cupped blossoms appear in clusters.   Fragrance is slight.

Growth habit is short, to one and a half feet or so; habit is bushy and spreading, making 'China Doll' an excellent choice for an edging or border.   Disease resistance is excellent, as is winter hardiness.  Foliage is medium green.

Polyantha Roses
The original Polyantha roses were the result of a cross between Rosa multiflora and a pink China rose.  Originated by Guillot in Lyon, France, Polyanthas received their habit of producing flowers in clusters from parent Rosa multiflora, while their China lineage provided for excellent repeat bloom on shrubs of compact, attractive form.  French breeders worked to further develop Polyanthas into shrubs justifiably famous for providing masses of blooms over a long season.
