cherish rose
Introduced:  1980, Warriner, US  AARS -1980rose cherish
Class:  Floribunda
Zones:  4-9
Parentage:  'Bridal Pink' x 'Matador'
Flowers:  Coral-pink, double, Hybrid Tea form.
Size:  3 - 4 feet
Fragrance:  Good

Of note:  Soft coral-pink blooms are long lasting as cut flowers.

Soft, coral-pink flowers appear in singly and in clusters, and are large for a Floribunda (3 1/2").  Distinctly reminiscent of a Hybrid Tea while in bud, the flowers open flat, with 26 to 28 petals.  Good substance makes 'Cherish' an excellent cut flower.

Habit is compact and slightly spreading; the semi-glossy, dark green leaves are disease resistant, but 'Cherish' will need winter protection in severe climates.
