AARS:
  1996, Meilland, France (introduced 1993)
Class:  Shrub
Zones:  4-10
Parentage:  'Gitte' x seedling
Flowers:  Pink blooms with white eyes; 5 petals.
Size:  3 - 5 feet
Fragrance:  Slight
Of note:  Loads of blooms produced freely on a disease resistant, winter hardy plant.

'Carefree Delight' is an excellent choice for the mass plantings, public spaces, and the home garden.  The strength of 'Carefree Delight' lies in the quantity of bloom; flowers are produced in such great profusion that deadheading really isn't necessary.

While fragrance is light, the winter hardiness, disease resistance, and overall reliability more than make up for this limitation.  The form is bushy and mounding, forming a dense shrub of three to five feet.

Highly recommended for those areas where a trouble free, reliable rose is desired; 'Carefree Delight' is truly outstanding as a hedge.
