Description:
'Blaze' is widely available every spring in garden centers, nurseries, mail-order catalogues, and every Wal-mart and K-Mart in the country it seems.  Yes, it is common, and because of this, many gardeners will bypass it without further thought; however, 'Blaze' deserves respect for providing reliable color over a long-season on a plant which is not demanding in the least.

Flowers are borne in clusters, and bloom in heavy displays in spring and fall with smaller flushes in between.  Disease resistance is excellent.  Often, 'Blaze' is grown without proper care with   results which are less than inspiring, but it is not the plant's fault.  When tended with love, 'Blaze' is a breathtaking sight.
