AmericaIntroduced:   1976, Warriner, USA
AARS:  1976
Zones:  4-10
Parentage: 'Fragrant Cloud' x 'Tradition'
Class:  Large-flowered Climber
Flowers:  Salmon-pink, double(40-45 petals), 3-4".

Size:  7 - 12 feet
Fragrance:  Strong, spicy

Strengths:  Flowers of excellent form are produced repeatedly throughout the season on a good pillar rose.

One of the few climbers to be chosen an All-America Rose Selection, 'America' bears well-formed, high-centered salmon-pink flowers repeatedly from Spring to Fall.  Substance is excellent, making 'America' a superlative cut flower.

Growing to twelve feet in height, 'America' produces upright canes which are covered with bright green leaves which are relatively disease resistant (you will need to engage in a spray program where blackspot is prevalent).  Cold hardy to Zone 4 (with protection in Zones 4-5).
